Hello and welcome to my little corner of the web.  They say it’s important to have one of these little “About Me” statements on your blog so here goes.  My name is Steven Gardner and if I only had a few words to describe myself it’d be these: computer junkie, amateur photographer, husband, father and generally likeable guy!

I’m a software developer/architect for an Edinburgh based Microsoft Gold Partner. I like to think of myself as a technology evangelist but other people might say I just harp on a lot!  My work focuses primarly on the Microsoft stack of technologies but I like to keep a breast of the industry as a whole.

When i’ve not got my head in a blog, book or laptop i’ll be with my lovely wife, new born child and slightly derraged cocker spaniel!  Needless to say that doesn’t leave a lot of spare time but any I do have left, you’ll find me behind the lens taking photos of anything and everything in my quest to find the perfect shot.  My favourite type of photography is landscape which luckily ties in with my other passion which is climbing large mountains, particularly in the Cairngorms in northern Scotland.
